Norfra A/S was established in 1984. The company is producing and exporting about 14000 tons of sea products every year, products orginating from above the Arctic Circle. Our main product range is fresh white fish and salted products. Norfra's owners are employees, producers, fish farmers and fishermen. The mother company, Norfra A/S, is based in Tromsø. We have factories in Nordvågen, some 20 km from North Cape, and Torsvåg, in Troms county. In addition we cooperate with several factories in Lofoten, Vesterålen, Troms and Finnmark.
We place great pride in our traditions and work closely together with local fishermen to carefully manage the sea resources in harmony with Mother Nature. Fishing with line and gillnet ensures gentle treatment of the fish. In addition, we only purchase our raw materials from energy-efficient coastal fishing boats, taking on our responsibility to contribute to a sustainable management of the rich resources of the Barents Sea.
